Leading tier I automotive supplier is seeking a Machining Process Engineer to work in their machining department. As the Machining Process Engineer, you will report to a Senior Engineer and will be responsible for an assigned work area.   Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Supporting production lines while increasing efficiencies and decreasing scrap 
  • Completing projects related to root cause analysis and troubleshooting downtime
  • Utilizing 2D and 3D modeling to improve line layouts and design fixtures and gauges
  • Assisting with new model activities, documentation and project management
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, as well as programming CNC machining centers
  • Communicating with operations and production associates to improve throughput  
  • Overseeing capital equipment projects, including managing timelines and budgets
This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 80% of their day.  This site offers the opportunity to work with cutting edge equipment and robotics. REQUIREMENTS for the Machining Process Engineer:
1. A minimum of an Associate’s degree with at least two years of process engineering experience OR a bachelor’s degree with the minimum of co-op or internship experience
2. Experience working with machining centers
3. Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software
4. Mechanical troubleshooting skills
5. AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling for plant layout and/or fixture design
6. Experience implementing process improvements (scrap reductions, increase efficiencies, etc.)
7. Basic project management skills
8. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive supplier work experience
2. Robotic troubleshooting
3. Electrical troubleshooting

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Findlay, OH area.  Regional relocation will be offered for candidates with all required skill sets.
